Engaged Friday

Carmi donates 5% of its daily sales to charity with Engaged Friday

Dear customer,

Following the positive feedback we have received in recent years, this year we are continuing our "Engaged Friday" initiative for the fifth year running. At Carmi, we remain committed to helping those who need it most.
For those not yet familiar with our concept: at Carmi, we don't support Black Friday, but we do like to put a positive spin on it. This means that every year, we support a local non-profit organization with a portion of our sales on that day.

This year, Carmi Korbeek-Lo is donating 5% of its total sales on Friday November 24. Bram's Foundation is an initiative of parents who have lost their child to suicide. They hope to have an impact on young people and do what they failed to do with their son. They want to draw attention to young people with symptoms of depression and ensure that they are reintegrated into society.

Carmi Aubel's chosen work this year is "Le Bailou". Le Bailou aims to promote the personal development and social participation of disabled people, while integrating them into a group where they can find answers to their needs and feel a sense of solidarity with others.
By creating a framework and an atmosphere in which everyone can find their place and feel at ease, Le Bailou aims to reduce differences.

At Carmi Zemst, we've chosen Windkracht Zemst, and 5% of total sales on Friday November 24 will go to this great initiative.
Like all graduates, these children are looking forward to an exciting career and future. For disabled children, it's different....
A professional career is out of the question, but what then? Flanders provides allowances for the necessary care and assistance. These allowances are allocated to them, but nobody knows when they will actually receive them. We've been waiting 4 years already. Faced with this need, we parents have come to an agreement and decided not to stand idly by. With the ASBL, we want to organize useful and affordable activities for our children. By being visibly present on the streets, we show the value of our young adults and help them to feel useful in society. We are considering a partnership with the local community of Zemst. Our base of operations is FC Hofstade. We organize recreational and educational activities and carry out household chores in the community. We also take part in day-care activities organized by other non-profit organizations or specialized institutions.

We hope that, as in previous years, we can once again count on your enthusiasm and welcome you to our store.
