For the seventh consecutive year, we are continuing our Engaged Friday initiative! In doing so, we remain committed to supporting those who need it most.
At Carmi, we are not fans of Black Friday. That’s why we consciously choose a positive alternative. On Friday, 28 November, we will donate a portion of our revenue to a local non-profit organisation that is especially close to our hearts. Together, we transform Black Friday into a moment of sharing rather than a moment of excessive consumption.
This year, Carmi Korbeek-Lo will donate 5% of its total revenue to TEJO Leuven, and Carmi Zemst will donate 5% of its total revenue to TEJO Mechelen.
TEJO — Therapists for Young People — is an independent citizens’ initiative made up of qualified volunteers who are strongly committed to defending the rights of young people. Their goal is to create a culture in which young people are heard and supported. They offer free therapeutic guidance to young people aged 10 to 20.
The organisation chosen this year by Carmi Aubel is “Le Bailou”. Le Bailou aims to promote the personal development and social participation of people with disabilities, integrating them into a group where they can find the support they need and feel connected to others.
By creating an environment in which everyone can find their place and truly feel at ease, Le Bailou seeks to reduce differences.
At Carmi, we want to make our contribution to this wonderful project. As in previous years, we hope we can count on your enthusiasm and look forward to welcoming many of you to our store.
